Cos they were only .40 a lb! I looked at the total prices and figured a turkey that big for only $8 was a pretty good deal. Ill freeze a bunch for dinners down the road too.
At that price Im going to pick up a couple more and donate them away next week.
Funny how falling feels like flying. For a little while.

THANK YOU , THANK YOU so much for the invite , but I get Crabbe this time of year, so I am better off home with my dog and other critters, I am not much of a family type of guy , but you are welcome to any of my turkeys you want , and I have them so trained, they would come right into the house if I would let them , so you can hand feed them, and just reach out and grab there neck, and with a quick twist you got turkey. now do you need some beef for the day after same deal apply's

 Youre a nut. And as for being grumpy, so what. We're not family types either. Just 2 people with 1 offspring and a couple animals. I think youd feel much more at home than you realize. Anyhoo...the invite is always there.

Honeysuckle Turkey

I thought this sounded good!
Here is a turkey recipe that also includes the use of popcorn as a stuffing -- imagine that. When I found this recipe, I thought it
was perfect for people like me, who just are not sure how to tell when poultry is thoroughly cooked, but not dried out.
Give this a try.

8 - 15 lb. Honeysuckle turkey
1 cup melted butter
1 cup stuffing (Pepperidge Farm is Good.)
1 cup uncooked popcorn (ORVILLE REDENBACHER'S LOWFAT)
Salt/pepper to taste

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Brush turkey well with melted butter salt, and pepper. Fill cavity with stuffing and popcorn.
Place in baking pan with the neck end toward the back of the oven.

Listen for the popping sounds. When the turkey's ass blows the oven door open and the bird flies across the room,
It's done.

And, you thought I didn't cook...

Have a Happy Thanksgiving!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

sally loves this kind of turkey , she waits on the floor staring at the oven! just waiting for that turkey to come flying out at her....LMAO

Well, as it turns out, my brother just now asked me to make the turkey. He's making everything else, but to free up the oven, he asked if I would do the bird. I agree, there isn't much room in the oven for everything at one time, so he's buying the turkey and I'll cook it. Easy peasy. I'll probably go ahead and make gravy with the drippings. Can't beat that gravy with a fuckin stick!

Yep, the freeloaders start showing up today. Relatives come by for the meal and Friends show up that evening to party and run the relatives off.
